Reset Root Password FAILED in Help

Hello,
I followed the instructions of how to reset root password for Debian (https://www.vultr.com/docs/boot-into-single-user-mode-reset-root-password), but I failed.
In the last step, the prompt shows :
dev/Vda1: clean, 32901/1280000 files, 322878/5242289 blocks.org)
bash: cannot set terminal process group (-1): Inappropriate ioctl for device
bash: no job control in this shell
root@(none):/# uld not read from CDROM (code 0003)
Booting from Hard Disk...
I don't know what to do next and the step of adding init="/bin/bash" at the end of the line confuses me,I don't know whether I should put it after "quiet" or not.
Please reply to me and tell me in details what to do ,I'm kind of in a hurry.
Thanks so much!
Bruce
