VNC access (not using noVNC)

edited January 2018 in Features and Ideas
It'd be useful to be able to use any RFB client to access VMs. The problem with noVNC is the keyboard mapping.

It's been said that you can install a VNC server of your choice on the OS. Not useful, as the time you need it is when it won't boot - often because you've messed up the configuration files. In single user mode you may be relying on "echo correction >>loader.conf" which is surprisingly hard to achieve when the > key isn't working!

(Incidentally, work-around I've used in practice is to boot from an ISO image with an editor, mount the broken VM and fix it that way - you can x/p paste the missing keyboard characters from other parts of the file)
