Internode peering

edited May 2014 in Features and Ideas
Hello,

Not help, just wanted to say thank you for providing a decent Australian VPS service.
I am absolutely excited as anything.

I was wondering if you guys had thought about peering with Internode at all, considering you are only one hop away from their network:

1 1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1
2 68 ms 17 ms 17 ms lns20.mel6.on.ii.net [150.101.212.45]
3 17 ms 18 ms 19 ms xe10-3-0.cr1.mel4.on.ii.net [150.101.33.174]
4 30 ms 72 ms 33 ms ae2.br1.syd7.on.ii.net [150.101.33.28]
5 64 ms 40 ms 35 ms ae5.cr1.syd7.on.ii.net [150.101.33.51]
6 46 ms 36 ms 88 ms ae0.cr1.syd4.on.ii.net [150.101.33.16]
7 59 ms 73 ms 66 ms te-0-3-0.ar1.syd4.on.ii.net [150.101.33.218]
8 29 ms 28 ms 28 ms ppp68-185.static.internode.on.net [59.167.68.185]
9 93 ms 83 ms 34 ms xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.vultr.com [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]

If I'm talking rubbish feel free to delete this thread.

  • We are directly connected to the Internode network. I'm not entirely certain what you're asking here... generally the very last hop before the host in the traceroute is the network that it's connected to.
  • That answers that.
In other words, if I thought about it for two seconds longer I could have answered my own silly question, hahah.

    Awkward. Sorry about that.
